NRG is proud to announce their new sponsorship partner Rudechix – They like it derby!
Based in California, Rudechix exploded on the t-shirt scene in 2004 with original designs making a statement…something sassy and unique, not just boring one liners. The next line introduced was baby apparel with slogans such as “Feed me dammit” and “my dad can dropkick your dad.”
The next adventure was vending at tattoo and hot rod shows. Rudechix hit the scene in 2005 and has travelled to many states in the U.S. for these events. “My Daddy’s Tattoos are Sick” has been a consistent top seller, and the kids’ tattoo line also represents Mommy, Auntie, Uncle… even Grandma and Grandpa. “Getting Tattoos When I’m 18” usually makes people chuckle and is always a hit. For women, “Inked & Sexy” beaters and undies are very popular, while “Hot Piece of Ass” undies continue to fly off of our table at every show. “Daddy’s Little Gearhead” launched at The Grand National Roadster Show in 2009 and sold out, and “Future Pin-Up” and “Heartbreaker” complete the kustom kulture line for kids.
Sherry Mattison aka Queen Rude, said: “Along the way, I fell in love with roller derby…. sexy, beautiful, and athletic women skating in fishnets and makeup… and usually tattooed. What more could one ask for? This resurgence of the sport has swept the nation as well as other countries and the women in this sport are amazing, positive, and supportive. “Future Derby Chick” launched in 2008 at a Los Angeles Derby Dolls bout to enthusiastic buyers. Rudechix attended Rollercon in 2009, where the rest of the roller derby line was unveiled. “My Auntie Does Derby” sold out quickly. “My Aunt Can Bodycheck Your Aunt” and “My Mom Can Bodycheck Your Mom” were introduced at Rollercon 2010 to some stoked skaters, as were the “I Like It Derby” booty shorts. We are constantly expanding our roller derby line for both women and kids.”
NRG skater Kalamity James said: “We’re thrilled to be getting such fantastic international exposure by working with Rudechix, we love their stuff and with a few NRG babies popped out this year there will be no shortage of Christmas present ideas!”
